We currently have two groomers. We have decades of experience grooming all breeds of dogs and cats.

Sharon (owner, groomer) was born and raised around dogs and cats. As a young teenager, she showed and raised Red Persian cats. In 1977, when she was 15, she started working at a Grooming Salon as a bather. Fresh out of high school, she went to the Maryland School of Dog Grooming and graduated in 1981. She has been happily grooming since.


Karen is a 3rd generation groomer. She grew up watching her Grandmother and her Mother groom dogs. Her Grandmother raised and showed Scottish Terriers, and Karen herself raised and showed black and tan coon hounds. She has been living and breathing dogs her entire life. Straight out of high school she worked at a Vet's office for 5 years and then apprenticed with the President of the Virginia Dog Groomer's Association from 1994 - 1998. Karen has been grooming pets in Front Royal since 1998. She is NDGAA (National Dog Groomers Association of America) Certified, in all.

Karen has been heavily involved in the dog community in Warren County for many years. She has fostered several dogs and cats for the Humane Society. She has bottle raised many squirrel's, rabbits, birds, puppies, kittens, children and the list goes on.

Due their beliefs, it is very important to them to help improve the lives of animals in the community. Shear Elegance regularly holds Fundraising events for the Humane Society of Warren County. We are members of the Humane Society of Warren County.
